About this light

This black tube-shaped outdoor wall light, the Pipe, sits on a rectangular backplate fixed to the wall. Clear glass closes one end of the cylinder and lets a beam of light through in a single direction. At 13 cm high, it stays discreet beside a front door, on a low wall or along a terrace. It takes a GU10 cap bulb.

Description

Textured black metal tube on a backplate

The cylindrical body, 6.5 cm in diameter, is made of black metal with a slightly textured finish. A rectangular backplate in the same finish holds it 10 cm away from the wall. The clear glass set into the end of the tube protects the bulb without hiding it.

A GU10 beam directed to one side

The GU10 lampholder accepts a bulb of up to 35 W, sold separately. For a façade, choose a 4 to 6 W GU10 LED in 2700 K or 3000 K: the beam draws a sharp line of light on the wall. The light becomes dimmable with a GU10 bulb designed for dimming. Rated IP44, the wall light withstands rain: exposed façade, entrance, canopy or gate pillar.

Installation and connection

The wall light weighs 0.58 kg and connects to 230 V; it is Class I, so it must be earthed. For entrance lighting, place it at about 1.80 m from the ground, on either side of the door if you are installing two.
