This antique bronze finish outdoor lantern wall light is the largest upward version in the Philadelphia range: 64 cm high, with the lantern set above a crook-shaped arm that springs from the bottom of the backplate. The mouth-blown, rippled champagne-tinted glass colours the light of its three E14 candle bulbs. It marks out a main front door or a gate.
The lantern rests on a scrolled arm that curls beneath it before joining an oval wall backplate decorated with relief details. The cast aluminium body, finished in antique bronze, features foliage and sculpted handles in an Art Nouveau 1900s spirit, crowned with a pointed finial. Its rippled, mouth-blown champagne glass panes soften the view of the bulbs.
The wall light takes three E14 bulbs of 60 W maximum each, to be purchased separately. The light, warmed to gold by the glass, remains decorative. For a candle effect, choose 2700 K flame LED bulbs, dimmable if you connect it to a dimmer, which it accepts. The IP44 rating protects it from rain: it can be fitted on a façade, fully exposed or under a canopy. Class I: an earth connection is mandatory.
At 26 cm wide and 31 cm projection, this is the right size for a wide front door, a porch or a gate pillar. Plan to install it about 1.80 to 2 m above the ground, on either side of the door if you are fitting two.
