Somerton verdigris outdoor wall light, gooseneck barn lamp

A patina reminiscent of aged copper

Round backplate, curved arm, dome and rim: every part carries the same verdigris finish, light and uneven. Underneath it is brass; the retailer describes it as solid and wax-finished, and it will keep developing its patina outdoors. The rounded shade with a rolled rim shelters a transparent glass dome.

Fitting on an exposed wall

IP44 rating: the wall light can take direct rain and can be fitted on a façade with no roof overhang. It weighs 1.73 kg for a height of 25 cm and projects its shade 34 cm from the wall. Fit it at around 1.80 m from the ground, beside a door or above a garden gate. Class I: the circuit must include an earth.

An E27 bulb of your choice

The E27 lampholder accepts up to 60 W; no bulb is supplied with the light. A dimmer can adjust the brightness if the bulb supports it. A warm white filament LED, visible through the glass, keeps the spirit of workshop lamps. The light, directed downwards by the rim, illuminates the ground and the wall beneath the wall light.
