About this light

The Carsoli is a white ball LED outdoor wall light that casts two opposing cones of light, one upwards and one downwards. On a pale wall, the pattern recalls a glowing hourglass. The aluminium sphere, 10 cm in diameter, sits neatly beside a door, on a gate pillar or along a terrace.

Description

A white sphere with two openings

The body is a white aluminium ball. A horizontal slot at the top and another at the bottom let the light through, while the rest of the sphere stays opaque. Seen from the front, the wall fixing is hidden.

Two warm white beams

The integrated 4 W LED is supplied with the wall light and delivers 140 lm at 3000 K. This modest output makes it an accent or marker light rather than task lighting. The brightness is not adjustable. As for protection, the IP54 rating shields it from dust and water splashes: it copes with the outdoors, on a façade or under a porch.

Installation tips

The two cones show up best on a smooth, pale wall. Fix it at about 1.70 m from the ground so they have room to open out, and space several balls at least one metre apart to keep the patterns distinct.
