Cape Cod medium outdoor wall light, onion lantern on swan-neck arm

Swan neck, bubbled globe and sienna bronze

The arm springs from a rectangular backplate, rises in a curve and then coils into a crook above the lantern, which hangs from its conical roof. Beneath this roof come a neck of stacked rings, the clear glass globe scattered with tiny bubbles that give it an antique look, and finally a cylindrical base. The sienna bronze shade leans towards red copper.

Power and placement

The E27 lampholder takes up to 100 W, enough to light an entrance properly; bulb not included, not dimmable. The clear glass reveals the light source, so opt for a globe-shaped filament LED. The IP23 rating requires installation sheltered from direct rain, under a porch, a canopy or a generous roof overhang.

Dimensions and weight

At 45.7 cm high, 22.2 cm wide and with a 26 cm projection, it needs a clear wall beside the door. It weighs 2.5 kg. Place the top of the arm around lintel level so that the globe sits at eye level or slightly above. Class I, earthed connection.
