Manhattan large outdoor wall light, glazed lantern in oiled bronze, 47 cm

Station lantern in oiled bronze

The lines are straight: a wall plate with a stepped frame, two brackets supporting a flat overhanging roof, then a rectangular lantern with four sides of clear glass. The body is cast aluminium, covered with a hand-painted oiled bronze finish, a very dark brown with slightly coppery edges.

Light and exposure

One E27 lampholder up to 60 W; the bulb is sold separately and can be controlled by a dimmer if it is dimmable. Behind this transparent glass, an elongated Edison-style filament bulb remains visible and is part of the décor. The IP44 rating allows installation on a wall exposed to rain: façade, gate pillar, garage wall.

Dimensions of the large model

Allow for 47 cm in height, 28.6 cm in width and a projection of 31.8 cm: this size calls for a clear wall and a passage wide enough that no one bumps into it. At 5.85 kg, it must be fixed into solid masonry, using wall plugs rated for this load. On a tall façade or on either side of a double door, install it at around 1.80 m or slightly higher. Class I.
