East Coast lantern in sienna bronze
The Montauk is inspired by the traditional lanterns of the American East Coast. Its square-based cage holds four panes of clear glass flecked with bubbles, which widen slightly towards the bottom. Above sit a flat roof, a pyramid-shaped chimney and a ring; an arched arm reaches the rectangular wall plate. The solid brass body carries a sienna finish, somewhere between golden brown and rust.
Two E14 bulbs
Inside, two candle-type E14 lampholders each accept a maximum of 60 W; bulbs are not included; with dimmable sockets, they allow the lantern to run on a dimmer. Warm white LED filament flame bulbs preserve the lantern effect behind the bubbled glass. Its IP44 rating allows it to be fitted on a wall exposed to the weather, without a canopy.
Size and fixing
It measures 43.9 cm high, 17.8 cm wide and projects 23.5 cm. Weighing 4.14 kg, use wall plugs suited to a solid wall. On either side of a door, place the bottom of the lantern about 1.50 m from the ground, so that the top comes close to lintel level. Class I.
