Newbury Large Polished Brass and Glass Wall Lantern, 2 Lights

Curved lantern hanging from its arm

The lantern body is made of polished brass with bevelled glass panes: the upper part flares out beneath a cap with a knob, while the lower part rounds out before narrowing towards the base. It is hung by a ring from a scrolled arm extending from the wall plate. Inside, two brass candle holders carry the bulbs.

Two E14 bulbs behind the glass

The two E14 lampholders accept a maximum of 40 W per bulb; bulbs are not included. A dimmer can control them if the bulbs are dimmable. Filament LED flame bulbs remain visible through the glass and recall a candle. Rated IP44, the lantern withstands rain: it can be fitted on a façade, preferably under an overhanging roof to keep the glass clean for longer.

Space needed on the façade

At 26.4 cm wide and projecting 25.4 cm, it stands well out from the wall: avoid placing it in a narrow passage. It weighs 2.61 kg and must be earthed (Class I). Place the top of the lantern at about 1.80 m from the ground, or align it with the top of the door frame when fitting two.
