Square black lantern brushed with silver
The aluminium structure is black, rubbed with silver on the edges, which brings out the relief. The pyramid-shaped roof, finished with a finial, is attached to a curved bracket that extends from a round backplate. Just beneath the roof, a pierced frieze traces stems and leaves on all four sides. The textured glass panels let the light through without showing the bulb clearly.
Light directed downwards and sideways
Hanging beneath its arm, the lantern sends light towards the ground and along the wall. E27 lampholder for a bulb of up to 60 W, to be purchased separately; a 2700 K LED keeps a yellow light close to that of old-fashioned lamps. The light fitting is compatible with a dimmer, provided the bulb is dimmable. IP44 makes it suitable for a façade without a canopy, exposed to rain.
19 cm projection beside the entrance
Allow for 15 cm in width and 19 cm of projection from the wall: leave enough clearance if a door or shutter opens outwards. Fix it at about 1.75 m from the ground or above the lintel. The Winchcombe bollard light uses the same lantern on a base, for the garden.
