About this light

Description

Fluted tube on a trapezoidal arm

The body is a vertical black aluminium cylinder with fine flutes that catch the daylight. It is fixed to the wall by a backplate and a short trapezoidal arm. At the bottom, a glass disc closes the tube and lets the beam out. The result is a downlight that is more graphic than a lantern.

Downward beam and IP54 rating

The E27 lampholder accepts up to 60 W; in this narrow tube, a compact LED bulb is a practical choice. The brightness can be varied with a compatible bulb and dimmer. The IP54 rating adds dust protection to protection against rain: an exposed facade, a boundary wall or a gate pillar all suit it.

Size and positioning

At 11.5 cm wide and projecting 17.5 cm, it fits on a narrow pier between two windows. Fixed at about 1.80 m, it casts a cone of light on the ground in front of a door; in a row along a wall, it punctuates the facade with regular pools of light.
