About this light

An up and down outdoor wall light, the Asker is a rectangular box in raw galvanised steel, left unpainted to show its zinc sheen. It casts light upwards and downwards in two sweeps that highlight the façade on either side of a door or along a boundary wall. E27 bulb to be supplied separately.

Description

Raw finish galvanised steel

The housing is a rectangular block in galvanised steel. The photo shows the mottled surface typical of zinc, with no paint. The underside carries a diffuser; the retailer describes this model as the large up and down lighting version.

Light upwards and downwards

The E27 cap takes a bulb that is not included: a warm white LED is enough to draw the two beams on the wall. The IP44 rating protects it from rain; it suits a façade or the underside of a canopy. Class II, double insulation with no earth connection.

Depth and weight

It measures 12 cm high and projects 12 cm from the wall, and weighs 2.76 kg, a weight that calls for fixings suited to the surface. On each side of a door, position it at about 1.80 m from the ground so the upward beam has room to open out on the wall.
