About this light

A Scandinavian-inspired fisherman's lantern, this outdoor lantern wall light in hot-dip galvanised steel hangs a clear polycarbonate globe beneath a wide flat cap, at the end of a straight arm. Fisherman's lantern in galvanised steel

A round backplate holds a tubular arm that carries the lantern: a rounded dome, a wide flat disc forming the cap, then a clear polycarbonate globe encircled by a metal ring. The steel is hot-dip galvanised for better corrosion resistance and keeps its light grey metal look.

E27 lampholder, 60 W maximum

The E27 bulb is not included and must not exceed 60 W. Visible through the clear globe, a 2700 K filament LED recalls the glow of an incandescent lamp. The IP55 rating protects the lantern from dust and rain, even on an exposed wall. Class II: no earth required. Dimmer compatible, in which case it requires a dimmable bulb.

A 36.5 cm arm in front of the wall

The lantern projects 36.5 cm, and measures 22 cm high and 28 cm wide; it weighs 1.98 kg. Check that no shutter or opening window will strike the cap. Above a door, fix the backplate high enough to leave comfortable clearance beneath the disc.
