An upright lantern on its wall arm
The black powder-coated aluminium arm extends from a vertical backplate, is decorated with an openwork scroll and ends in a cup with crooks that holds the lantern. The lantern, made of hand-worked copper after Netlighting with polycarbonate panes, has a pyramid roof, a dome and a turned finial. The copper develops a natural patina with the seasons.
Lighting an exposed façade
The lantern houses an E27 lampholder of 60 W maximum; the bulb is not included in the box, so remember to buy one, dimmable if the wall light is to be controlled by a dimmer. IP44 means it can be fitted to a rain-lashed wall without a canopy. Double insulation (Class II): the power cable needs no earth.
Installation: 79 cm high, 3.8 kg
Width of 25 cm, projection of 40 cm. As the light comes from the top of the wall light, fit the bracket low enough for the lantern to stay at eye level from the path: on a façade, the top of the lantern then sits roughly level with the top of the door. The wall plugs must be able to bear this cantilevered load.
