A fisherman's hat in galvanised metal
The round backplate screws to the wall and leads into a horizontal tubular arm. At the end, a short cylinder holds the very open conical shade, made of galvanised steel that keeps the matt grey look of zinc. Beneath the hat, a domed polycarbonate globe protects the bulb and lets the filament show. The design comes from Scandinavian tradition.
Light directed down towards the ground
The cone directs the light downwards: doorstep, steps, letterbox. The E27 cap accepts up to 60 W; the bulb is not included. The wall light is dimmable. A 2700 K E27 LED gives a golden light that goes well with raw metal. The IP55 rating protects the wall light from rain and dust: it can stay on an exposed façade, without a porch roof. Class II appliance, so no earth terminal.
Dimensions and mounting height
Allow 23 cm in height and a 42 cm projection: leave space if it is near a door leaf or a narrow passage. Fit it at around 1.80 to 2 m above the ground, on either side of the entrance or above it. It weighs 2.07 kg, so wall plugs suited to the surface are enough.
