Paris black half-sphere outdoor wall light, 23 cm, clear glass

A black steel half-bowl, galvanised beneath the paint

The steel is pressed from a single piece, hot-dip galvanised and then painted matt black. Nothing breaks the curve: the shell descends to a clear glass that closes the underside and lets all the light through.

A downward glow under an overhanging roof

The light is directed towards the ground: it illuminates the doorstep, the letterbox or the doormat without lighting up the sky. The E27 cap takes a bulb of 60 W maximum, to be purchased separately; a clear-glass LED stays discreet behind the glass. Rated IP43, it withstands slanting rain, but not direct exposure to the elements: choose a sheltered position, under a porch or canopy.

Compact size, wall-mounted

At 11.5 cm high, 23 cm wide and with a projection of 14 cm, it stays unobtrusive on a narrow section of wall between a door and a window. It weighs 0.69 kg. Class I appliance, to be earthed. For two wall lights on either side of a door, fit them at the same height, slightly above head height, at around 1.80 m.
