Upright lantern in black die-cast aluminium
The six-sided lantern sits on a horizontal arm fixed to a rectangular backplate, with a decorative scroll beneath the arm. The pagoda-style top ends in a finial, and a turned point finishes the bottom. The whole fitting is made of pressure die-cast aluminium in a black finish, a metal that does not rust.
Light all around, IP44 and Class II
The E27 bulb, not included, can be up to 60 W. The clear glass panes leave it on show: a filament LED in a candle or pear shape stays in keeping with the spirit of the lantern. The IP44 rating protects it from rain and water splashes from any direction, so it can be fitted on an exposed wall, not just under a canopy. Class II means double insulation: there is no earth wire to connect.
Dimensions and mounting height
It measures 46 cm high and 19 cm wide, projects 26 cm from the wall and weighs 1.54 kg. As the lantern rises above its bracket, work from the backplate: mounted at around 1.70 m from the ground, the top of the lantern comes roughly level with the top of a door.
