Square graphite housing, glass underneath
The Sandvik is a rectangular block of die-cast aluminium, powder-coated anthracite grey, with sharp edges, fixed to the wall by a vertical backplate. The underside is closed by a frame screwed at the four corners, which holds a round glass pane. No decoration: the lines suit a rendered facade, cladding or dark grey window frames.
A downward beam, LED GU10 included
The light shines downwards only and draws a defined beam on the wall and the ground. The supplied GU10 LED bulb uses 8 W for 560 lm, in 3000 K warm white; the GU10 cap makes it easy to replace, and the manufacturer states that the wall light is compatible with a dimmer. Its IP65 rating lets it withstand water jets: it can be fitted on an exposed facade, without a canopy.
Installation and dimensions
It projects 11.5 cm and measures 13.5 cm high by 8 cm wide, and weighs 1.31 kg: small enough for a narrow pier between windows or a gate pillar. Class I appliance, to be connected to earth. Fitted at around 1.80 m to 2 m, it lights the entrance without dazzling those arriving.
