Torsten rectangular outdoor wall light in graphite, 25 cm

A light box between two plates

Two graphite aluminium plates close off the top and bottom, joined by a rear upright that rests against the wall. Between them, the white polycarbonate forms a plain rectangular volume, with no grille or crossbar. When lit, the front becomes a panel of soft light.

An E27 lampholder behind a large diffuser

It takes a single 60 W E27 bulb, sold separately. Choose a warm white LED for a subdued glow through the polycarbonate; if it is dimmable, the wall light accepts a dimmer. Its IP44 rating protects it from showers and splashes: front of the house, covered porch or terrace wall. The connection must include an earth, as the fitting is Class I.

Width, projection and mounting height

It is 20 cm wide and projects only 10.5 cm from the wall, less than the cube version. Allow for 1.93 kg to fix. Place it at around 1.80 m from the ground beside the door, or above a letterbox to make the house number legible at night.
