About this light

An outdoor wall light with an opal globe, the Orb Lanterns holds a large white sphere in an openwork black cup, carried on an arm decorated with a scroll. The design recalls park lanterns and driveway street lamps. It lights a front door, a garden wall or a porch with a soft light spread in all directions.

Description

Opal sphere and black ironwork

The opal PMMA globe, an acrylic, sits in a black ring connected to a tulip-shaped base. Beneath this base, a horizontal arm reaches the oval wall plate, and a black metal scroll forms a curl under the arm. The retailer describes a black powder-coated finish with a ribbed effect.

Diffused light, bulb to be added

The E27 lampholder takes a 10 W bulb, not supplied with the wall light. The opal globe hides the bulb and spreads a soft light all around, onto the wall and towards the ground; a 2700 K LED keeps a golden white. IP44 rating: the wall light can be fitted on a façade exposed to rain. The retailer quotes a three-year finish warranty, excluding installation by the sea.

Dimensions and mounting height

Allow 30 cm in height, 22 cm in diameter and 29 cm of projection: leave enough clearance next to a door that opens outwards. The fitting weighs 0.81 kg. Fix it at about 1.80 m from the ground, on either side of the entrance or in the centre of a garden wall.
