Traditional lantern beneath a crook-shaped arm
The rectangular wall backplate carries a curved crook arm from which the lantern hangs. The domed cap, edged with mouldings, tops four panes of clear bevelled glass, wider at the top than at the bottom and held by slim black uprights. The bevels catch the light along their edges. The whole structure is made of black aluminium.
A visible bulb behind clear glass
The clear glass shows off the light source: a decorative E27 bulb, such as a filament bulb, sets the lantern off nicely. Maximum power: 60 W, bulb not included. A dimmable bulb allows it to be connected to a dimmer. The IP44 rating protects against showers, so the lantern can stay on a façade with no roof overhang.
Allow 27.6 cm of clearance
The lantern projects 27.6 cm from the wall: bear this in mind near a door that opens outwards. For an entrance, align the top of the lantern with the top of the door frame, or slightly above. Two smaller sizes are available in the same series. Weighing 3.5 kg, it requires a solid wall. Class I: provide an earthed circuit.
