Small Barras black outdoor wall light with ribbed cylinder, 29 cm

Small fluted cylinder

Beneath a round cap, a clear glass tube with vertical ribbing is held in place by black rods spaced around its circumference. The wall plate is square and the arm short and straight. The whole piece combines steel, aluminium and glass, all in black.

Light source and protection

It accepts an E27 bulb of up to 40 W, not supplied. A small filament globe bulb suits the volume of the cylinder well; if dimmable, it can be controlled with a dimmer. Its IP44 rating allows it to stay out in the rain, on a wall with no roof overhang. Class I appliance, earthed.

Compact dimensions

With a projection of just 15.7 cm and a weight of only 0.97 kg, it fits in a side passage or on a balcony without obstructing movement. For a garden shed, fix it above or beside the door, at head height.
