Brown aluminium and polycarbonate glazing
The bronze reads here as a deep chocolate brown, uniform across the whole frame. You will find the curved-sided roof, the finial on top and the slanting uprights that flare the lantern outwards towards the top. Three clear polycarbonate panels enclose the front and sides; the straight back rests against the wall. A small moulded piece finishes the lantern at the bottom.
On a brick or stone wall
Projecting only 11 cm, it suits narrow passages: side path, service door, courtyard. On uneven stone, allow for a shim to give the backplate a flat bearing surface. Its weight of 1 kg does not call for heavy fixings, and Class II means no earth conductor is needed. Allow a height of about 1.70 m to light the lock and the step.
Bulb, dimmer and rain showers
E27 lampholder, up to 40 W, bulb to be purchased separately: a warm-coloured LED suits the bronze tone well. The brightness is adjustable if the bulb allows it. The IP44 rating protects the lantern from splashes and rain showers, on an exposed wall as well as under a canopy.
