A cylindrical lantern on a round backplate
A circular heritage brass backplate carries a short arm that supports the tube at its base. The black lampholder sits at the bottom of the clear glass cylinder, surrounded by gold rods, and two ribbed black rings close it at the top and bottom. The body is made of steel. This black and gold contrast recalls industrial lanterns.
A bulb to choose with care
The E27 cap accepts a bulb of up to 40 W, to be purchased separately. The clear glass shows off the bulb: a tube-shaped filament LED, as in the photo, extends the vertical line. It is also dimmable with a suitable bulb. Its IP44 rating protects it from splashes: it is suitable for the bathroom, away from the shower and the bath. The Class I connection is made with an earth.
Dimensions and installation on either side of a mirror
It measures 35.1 cm high, 12.2 cm wide and projects 12.8 cm from the wall, and weighs 1.02 kg. To frame a mirror, install one wall light on each side, with the centre of the tube at face height, around 1.60 to 1.70 m from the floor.
