Arm, pitched roof and bubbled glass
The lantern is made of cast aluminium in an aged bronze finish. A scrolled arm extends from the wall plate and appears to carry the lantern by its top. The steeply sloping roof covers a glazed cage whose panes curve downwards to a pointed base finished with a ball. The clear glass, dotted with tiny bubbles, softens the glare of the bulbs.
Three E14 candles behind the glass
The fitting has three candle-shaped E14 lampholders, for bulbs of 60 W each, to be purchased separately. Filament flame LED bulbs in 2700 K preserve the look of a candle lantern. Rated IP44, it withstands rain, on an exposed wall as well as under a porch. The retailer mentions a three-year anti-corrosion warranty, except when installed near the coast.
A wall light for large walls
It is 30.5 cm wide and projects 37.5 cm: check that a door leaf or shutter will not knock against it. Beside a single door, this size quickly looks imposing; it finds its proportions on either side of a carriage entrance, a garage or on a gable wall. Position it centred, slightly above eye level.
