Vandalia outdoor wall lantern, bubbled glass globe and black frame

A bubbled glass sphere within its hoops

The diffuser is a clear glass globe dotted with tiny bubbles. Around it, curved aluminium strips form an open cage, closed at the top by a ring and at the bottom by a cup fitted with a small knob. The finish is a textured black with no shine. The lantern is attached to a round wall backplate by a short arm.

Light and rain resistance

The E27 lampholder takes a bulb of up to 60 W, which you buy separately. A clear filament bulb shows off the bubbled glass; it works with a dimmer provided it is dimmable. With its IP44 rating, the Vandalia withstands rain and can be mounted on an exposed façade as well as under a porch. The manufacturer covers it with a limited three-year warranty against corrosion.

Dimensions and positioning

It measures 30.7 cm high and 22.9 cm wide, with a projection of 25 cm and a weight of 1.67 kg. It fits on either side of a front door or a large window, about 1.70 m above the ground. A matching pendant light is available in the same range for a porch or canopy.
