Arts and Crafts stained glass in a compact size

The photo shows a square lantern with four Tiffany glass panels, where cream and amber points radiate from the bottom over a golden yellow background. A generously overhanging pyramid cap protects the top. The lantern hangs by a ring from a bronze-finish steel bracket, anchored to a narrow backplate.

Which bulb to choose

An E27 lampholder, up to 60 W, supplied without a bulb. A dimmer can control it, with a dimmable LED. Through the tinted glass, a 2700 K LED gives a honey-coloured glow; a cooler shade would make the colours look dull. Thanks to its IP44 rating, it withstands showers on an exterior wall.

17.8 cm wide, 22.6 cm projection

At 28.7 cm high, it remains discreet on a small section of wall, between a window and a door for example. Fit it at about 1.70 m from the ground, or slightly higher if the passage is busy, so that the overhanging roof does not get in the way. Its 2.3 kg should be fixed to sound masonry.
