LED illuminated magnifying mirror 20 cm on chrome articulated arm, IP44

A round mirror ringed in white on a double-jointed arm

The round chrome wall plate carries an arm in two segments connected by hinges, also in chrome. At the end is a round mirror 20 cm in diameter, surrounded by a white ring that diffuses the light, and a fine chrome rim. Folded, the whole unit sits flat against the wall; extended, it projects 40 cm. It weighs 1.1 kg.

A 3 W LED, 295 lm, cool white light

The integrated 3 W LED delivers 295 lm, an output suited to close-up lighting of the face rather than lighting the room. Sources describe it as cool white, which brings out the details of the skin. The pull cord acts as the switch. The IP44 rating allows it to be fitted next to a washbasin; Class I luminaire, to be connected with an earth.

What height to fit it at

Mount the wall plate so that the mirror, with the arm extended horizontally, is at face height for the most frequent user, around 1.50 m to 1.60 m for the centre of the mirror. Place it to the side of the main mirror, within easy reach from the basin, checking that it can swivel without hitting the taps or a shelf.
