Urano white cylindrical outdoor ceiling light, 16 cm diameter

Turned aluminium housing and acrylic diffuser

The body of the Urano is a turned aluminium cylinder, powder-coated in white. It continues into a clear ring and a frosted acrylic diffuser, which let the light out through the face as well as the edge. The shape stays clean, with no ornament.

GX53 light source and IP44 protection

The GX53 cap takes a flat, puck-shaped lamp, not supplied, with a stated maximum of 15 W per bulb. For an entrance, a 3000 K LED version gives a warm white light without turning yellow. The IP44 rating lets it withstand water splashes and humidity: under a canopy, on a façade or in a bathroom away from the shower. Class I, with earth connection.

Ceiling or wall mounting

Its 7.5 cm depth suits the low ceilings of entrance lobbies and covered passageways, and its weight of 1.2 kg is light for fixing. Mounted as a wall light, place it at about 1.80 m from the floor beside a door; on the ceiling of a porch, centre it above the threshold.
