York black lantern outdoor ceiling light on short stem, 24.5 cm

Cast aluminium porch lantern

A round ceiling rose, screwed to the ceiling, carries a short stem from which the lantern hangs. The pyramid roof in black cast aluminium tops hammered glass panes, rounded at the top. It is the ceiling version of the York wall lights, with the same English carriage lantern design.

An IP23 rating to be kept under shelter

The IP23 rating protects against rain falling at up to about 60° from the vertical, not against splashes from all directions: keep this ceiling light for a covered porch, an entrance under a canopy or a covered play area. The E27 lampholder accepts 60 W at most, bulb not included, and the light can be dimmed on a dimmer with a suitable bulb; a warm white LED lights a doorstep generously.

Low ceiling height

At 24.5 cm high and 18.5 cm in diameter, with a weight of 1.3 kg, it stays compact under a low porch ceiling. Check that the top of a door or of a shutter that opens clears the lantern. Class I: the housing must be connected to earth.
