Ashland Bay Outdoor Ceiling Light in Zinc and Bubbled Glass, 30.5 cm

Two aluminium discs and a bubbled glass cylinder

The aluminium structure consists of a disc fixed to the ceiling and a second disc at the bottom, joined by slim vertical rods. Between them, a clear glass cylinder dotted with bubbles lets the light source show through; the underside is closed by a ribbed glass held by a small central knob. The weathered zinc finish, a matt grey with irregular shades, gives the ceiling light the look of a quayside lantern.

Two E27 caps and dimming

It takes two E27 bulbs of 60 W maximum each, sold separately. The light is dimmable: choose dimmable bulbs and a compatible dimmer. IP44 makes it suitable for use under a canopy or roof overhang, and in a bathroom outside the shower zone. Class I: earth connection required. 3-year anti-corrosion warranty stated by the manufacturer.

Slim depth under the ceiling

At 15.2 cm high and 30.5 cm in diameter, it suits low porch ceilings where a pendant light would get in the way. It weighs 2.43 kg. Centre it over the area to be lit: entrance steps or a covered terrace table.
