An octagonal lantern in brass and bevelled glass

The polished brass frame forms an octagon on two levels. Each side has a bevelled glass panel, and the panes at the base converge towards a brass finial pointing down to the floor. Through the glass, you can see the three lampholders grouped in the centre. The shiny finish catches the light on every edge.

Three E14 light sources for a covered entrance

The ceiling light takes three E14 bulbs of 60 W maximum each, not supplied, and can be dimmed on a dimmer with dimmable LED bulbs. For a welcoming light, choose flame-shaped LED bulbs in 2700 K, whose shape looks lovely behind the clear glass. The IP44 rating protects it from splashes and wind-driven rain: it belongs under a porch, a canopy or a roof overhang.

Ceiling installation and dimensions

Fitted flush to the ceiling, it hangs down only 19 cm, which leaves plenty of clearance under a low porch. Its weight of 2.93 kg calls for fixing to a solid support. Class I: an earth connection is mandatory. Centre it in front of the door to light both the doorstep and the lock.
