Stainless steel plate and cylindrical glass
The front is a stainless steel plate with a crisp outline, mounted on a cast aluminium back plate. At the front, a transparent half-cylinder glass protects the lampholder; two horizontal stainless-steel-coloured bands encircle it at mid-height, held by a visible screw on the side. The clear glass leaves the bulb on show, so a filament bulb is a good choice.
E27 lighting and IP54 protection
A single E27 lampholder, rated for 60 W; the bulb is not included. Choose a 2700 K warm white LED for soft entrance lighting, in a dimmable version if the wall light is connected to a dimmer. The IP54 rating protects the light from rain and dust deposits: it copes with an exposed façade such as a porch. Class I: an earth connection is mandatory.
Dimensions and fixing of the Basel stainless steel wall light
31 cm high, 21 cm wide, 12 cm projection, weighing 3.6 kg. This weight calls for wall plugs suited to the wall, especially on an externally insulated façade. Beside a door, place it at about 1.80 m from the ground to light the lock and visitors' faces.
