Basel black outdoor wall light with clear glass, E27, 31 cm

Contrast of black and clear glass

The front plate, in black powder-coated galvanised steel, sits on a cast aluminium backplate; the two bands crossing the glass are the same colour. This dark frame brings out the curved glass and the chrome lampholder placed behind it. On a white, grey or brick facade, the light reads as a graphic rectangle, even when switched off.

Light source and weather resistance

One E27 lampholder, 60 W, supplied without bulb. With this clear glass, a 2700 K LED filament bulb gives an effect close to a lantern; choose a dimmable one if it is connected to a dimmer. With IP54 protection, the wall light withstands rain and dust: no shelter is needed, it can stay exposed. Class I requires connection with an earth conductor.

Fixing the black Basel wall light to a facade

The housing projects 12 cm from the wall and weighs 3.46 kg. On a cavity wall or one with external insulation, use wall plugs designed for this load. For welcoming light, a good guide is to fit it at about 1.70 to 1.80 m above the ground, on the handle side.
