About this light

This outdoor ceiling light takes the form of a black glass cube fixed beneath its mounting plate: a 27 cm high lantern that screws directly to the ceiling of a porch or covered entrance. The lampholder, visible through the clear glass, showcases the bulb of your choice. It needs sufficient headroom beneath the canopy.

Description

Cubic lantern fixed flush to the ceiling

A black square mounting plate holds the cube, whose slim electro-galvanised, powder-coated steel frame surrounds clear safety glass panels. The lampholder drops from the top of the cube and places the bulb at the centre of the volume. The look is that of a workshop lantern, made of straight lines and black.

E27 light source and protection

No bulb is supplied with the light: the E27 lampholder accepts up to 60 W, for example a tube or pear-shaped LED, preferably filament and warm white for a pleasant effect through the glass. The IP44 rating protects it from splashes and wind-driven rain; it is suited to a porch, a gallery or a deep canopy. The ceiling light can be connected to a dimmer if the bulb is dimmable. Class II.

Dimensions and weight

The cube measures 23 cm square and hangs 27 cm below the ceiling. Leave at least 2.20 m of clear headroom beneath the light in front of a door. At 3 kg, it needs fixing into a solid support or a rafter, not simple panelling.
