About this light

The Holborn verdigris outdoor ceiling light is a square lantern in plated solid brass, patinated in a bluish green reminiscent of oxidised copper. Glazed on the sides and underneath, it takes two E27 bulbs and mounts under a porch, a gallery or a covered pergola. It pairs with the Holborn wall lights in verdigris.

Description

A square lantern with a verdigris patina

The verdigris patina covers the entire solid brass frame: an openwork band with bars at the top, corner posts, the frame of the back glass panel and small feet under the base. The shades range from sea green to blue-grey, deeper in the relief details. The clear glass panes reveal the backplate and the lampholders.

Two E27 lampholders, dimmer compatible

Two E27 bulbs of 60 W maximum are required; they are not included. The light fitting can be used with a dimmer, provided the bulbs are dimmable LEDs. A colour temperature of 2700 K brings out the green of the patina. Thanks to its IP44 rating, it withstands damp and wind-driven rain under an open overhang.

30 cm overall, 16.5 cm high

This compact size suits entrances, porches and galleries where ceiling height is limited. Solid brass is heavy: 5.8 kg in total, so it must be fixed to a ceiling able to carry the weight. For a deep porch, two ceiling lights placed in line give more even lighting than a single one.
