Lighthouse black outdoor ceiling light, bubble glass, 2 lights, 25.4 cm

A bubble glass drum beneath a stepped base

The circular base in textured black steel and aluminium is built up in several tiers, like the cap of the wall lights in the series. Below, the clear bubble glass is surrounded by two rings joined by short uprights. A lower ring closes the assembly and lets the light shine downwards.

Two E27 lampholders for a well-lit porch

It takes two E27 bulbs of 40 W maximum each, not included; with dimmable LEDs, it can be used with a dimmer. Two standard-shape warm white LEDs are enough to light a covered entrance without glare. Its IP44 rating makes it suitable for use under a canopy, a covered walkway or a roof overhang where rain may reach it. Class I luminaire, earthed.

Flush to the ceiling, it hangs down very little

Surface-mounted directly against the ceiling, it projects only 14.6 cm: under a low porch, your head stays well clear of the glass. At 2.3 kg, it requires a sound ceiling. Centre it in the covered area, or above the door when the canopy is deep. It pairs well with Lighthouse wall lights fitted on the same façade.
