About this light

This adjustable black garden spike light carries a small cylindrical spotlight 6 cm in diameter, mounted on a bracket and a spike to push into the soil. The head swivels to aim at a shrub, a façade or a statue. It takes a GU10 bulb, to be bought separately, and stands 25 cm tall, low enough to hide in a flower bed.

Description

Black tubular spotlight on a bracket

The head is a black tube closed at the front by a glass lens. It is held by a bracket and a tightening knob, so you can tilt it and then lock it in the position you want. Beneath the bracket, a tapered spike goes straight into the ground. The specifications state a polycarbonate and glass body.

A beam to aim, GU10 bulb

The spotlight accepts a 10 W GU10 bulb, not included. A narrow-beam GU10 LED picks out a trunk or a sculpture; a wider beam lights up a hedge. The light cannot be dimmed. The IP44 rating protects the spotlight from rain and watering splashes.

Height and positioning

The spike light is 25 cm tall, and 32 cm at most. Plant it a few tens of centimetres from the subject to be lit, in loose soil, and protect the power cable in a buried duct as far as the junction box.
