About this light

In grey, this adjustable garden spike light blends into foliage, gravel and stone borders. Its tubular head pivots on a bracket to aim a GU10 bulb at your chosen target: a tree trunk, a flower bed, the base of a façade. A spike pushes into the soil; no base or masonry is needed.

Description

Grey finish and thumbscrew joint

The grey colour stays discreet by day among the plants, where black would stand out more against a light mulch. The cylindrical head, 6 cm in diameter, pivots on a bracket tightened by a side thumbscrew: angle it upwards for a tree, or horizontally for a wall. Stated materials: polycarbonate and glass.

GU10 bulb and IP44 rating

You will need one 10 W GU10 bulb, bought separately; a neutral white LED renders the green of foliage well. The brightness is fixed. Rated IP44, the spike light withstands rain and splashes from the garden hose.

Positioning in a flower bed

At 25 cm high (32 cm at most), it disappears behind a clump of grasses. Push it into loosened soil, with the head set slightly back from the subject, then run the cable through a buried conduit. To light a hedge along its whole length, line up several spike lights at regular intervals.
