Square lantern on a chain

The lantern is hung by a ring from a chain with black links. Its 26 cm tall body, in black lacquered cast aluminium, carries an overhanging four-sided roof and hammered glass panes curved at the top. The design comes from English carriage lanterns.

E27 bulb under shelter

It takes an E27 bulb up to 60 W, sold separately, and can be controlled by a dimmer. For a porch, a warm white LED gives a soft light through the glass. The IP23 rating only protects it from rain that is not very slanting, and a pendant light moves in the wind: keep it in a covered position.

Hanging height under the porch

The chain lets you adjust the height from 40 to 82 cm below the ceiling. The bottom of the lantern must stay out of head reach: aim for at least 2.10 m of clear headroom under the light. It weighs 1.51 kg for a diameter of 18.5 cm, a modest load for a ceiling hook. Class I, with earth conductor. 5-year anti-corrosion warranty stated by the manufacturer.
