Hereford outdoor pendant light, black scrolled lantern on chain

Chain-hung porch lantern

The conical cap ends in a ring through which the black chain passes, in the style of a coach lantern. Beneath the cap, the clear glass cylinder is held by cast aluminium scrolls and closed by an openwork base. The lantern alone measures 28.5 cm high by 15 cm in diameter.

An E27 light source protected from the rain

The E27 lampholder accepts up to 60 W, bulb not included, and works with a dimmer if the chosen bulb is dimmable. A warm white LED with visible filament remains visible through the glass and keeps the lantern spirit. With an IP23 rating, the pendant light withstands slanting rain but must stay under a roof: porch ceiling, canopy, covered yard or covered pergola. Class I appliance, to be connected with an earth.

Height and fixing

The chain gives an adjustable overall height of 40.5 to 78.5 cm. In a passageway, keep at least 2 m between the floor and the bottom of the lantern. The whole weighs 1.21 kg: fixing into a joist or the slab is enough, with a junction box designed for outdoor use.
