Description

Ring, chain and lattice glazing

The black chain ends in a circular ring set on top of the cap. Below it, the lantern, 26 cm high and 15 cm in diameter, features a clear glass cylinder divided into panes by cast aluminium uprights and a crossbar. The design is more geometric than that of the scrolled Hereford models.

E27 bulb and rain protection

A single E27 lampholder, up to 60 W; the bulb is sold separately and, if dimmable, can be controlled with a dimmer. For an entrance, a low-power 2700 K LED is enough and looks pleasant seen through the glass. The IP43 rating protects it against solid objects larger than 1 mm and slanting rain: it belongs under a roof, not in open wind. Class I, earthing required.

Adjustment by the chain

The drop below the ceiling is adjusted using the chain, from 36.5 cm to 83.5 cm. Under a 2.50 m porch, shorten the chain to keep at least 2 m of clearance beneath the lantern. The weight, 1.28 kg, is modest: fixing into a joist or the concrete slab is sufficient.
