About this light

The medium version of the Baltimore hanging lantern, this porch pendant light measures 50 cm high by 22.5 cm in diameter. It suits a narrow porch, an entrance under a canopy or a covered walkway, where the large model would take up too much space. A chain holds it below the ceiling; an E27 bulb needs to be purchased separately.

Description

Weathered bronze and honey-tinted glass

The photo shows a lantern with dark, coppery edges, slightly textured amber panes and a crown bristling with leaves. A finial hangs beneath the base. The body is cast aluminium and, according to the retailer, the bronze patina is applied by hand.

An E27 protected by IP44

E27 lampholder for a bulb of up to 60 W, supplied without a bulb. Its IP44 rating protects it from the rain: it stays in place under an open porch, even when the shower blows in sideways. A dimmer can be used if the bulb is dimmable. Class I: provide an earth wire at the light point.

Chain length and weight

The overall height is adjustable from 57.5 to 212 cm, for a weight of 2.52 kg. For a front door, adjust it so that about 2 m is left below the bottom of the lantern, and centre it in front of the threshold.
