Faceted cap and polycarbonate globe
The black cap flares out from a narrow neck where the chain attaches, and its moulded panels give it a crisp profile. Beneath it, the slightly domed polycarbonate globe closes the lantern and spreads light downwards and to the sides. Polymer and polycarbonate are chosen to withstand salty air and knocks: the British retailer recommends it for coastal climates.
An E27 bulb to light the doorstep
The single lampholder accepts an E27 bulb of up to 60 W, to be purchased separately; a dimmable warm white LED lights the doorstep and can be adjusted with a dimmer. Rated IP44, the lantern withstands rain and can be placed under a porch, canopy or covered area. Class II: double insulation, no earth wire to connect.
Chain height and ceiling fixing
The lantern alone measures 39 cm high by 25 cm in diameter. With the chain included, the total height is adjustable from 53 to 73 cm, which leaves good clearance under a typical porch. Weighing 2.61 kg, it needs a solid fixing point in the underside of the roof; allow at least 2 m of clear space below the globe.
