Square lantern on a chain
No arm or base here: a ring at the top of the roof hangs the lantern from a link chain. The roof, with four curved slopes, overhangs the sides generously; each side holds five pieces of clear textured glass joined with lead by hand, according to the retailer. A tinted diamond marks the centre. Cast aluminium with a black patina, silver on the edges.
Under a porch or a canopy
E27 lampholder for a bulb of 60 W maximum, to be purchased separately; a dimmer can control it if the bulb is dimmable. With its IP23 rating, it only withstands rain falling almost vertically: keep it under a deep porch or a well-covering canopy, away from splashes and windy spots where it would swing. 3-year anti-corrosion guarantee according to the manufacturer.
Adjustable height from 46 to 90 cm
The chain length can be shortened to adjust the overall height between 46 and 90 cm. Leave at least 2.10 m below the lantern where it hangs over a doorway. The pendant light weighs 1.8 kg: hang it from a solid eye hook in a beam or a slab. Class I, connection with earth.
