A bronze lantern at the end of a chain
The light hangs from a bronze metal chain, attached by a ring to the round, slightly domed roof. The frosted cream glass cylinder is held by slender uprights, and the base narrows into two arches that meet at a small point. The same heritage bronze finish and the same glass as the Merrill wall light and ceiling light, so you can dress a façade with matching models.
IP23 rating: for sheltered positions
IP23 protects against rain falling at an angle, but not against wind-driven showers or water jets. Reserve this pendant light for covered spaces: a deep porch, canopy, covered play area or gallery. It takes an E27 bulb of up to 60 W, to be supplied separately, and its light cannot be dimmed. Class I: the circuit must include an earth.
Height and ceiling fixing
The lantern body is 41 cm high and 19.4 cm wide, and the whole fitting drops to 145 cm including the chain. Leave comfortable clearance beneath the lantern: under a porch, the bottom of the light must not get in the way of a tall person. Its weight of 3.1 kg calls for a securely anchored hook.
