About this light

The black version of the Oslo outdoor pendant light: the same Nordic silhouette with tiered slats, but in galvanised steel finished with black paint, more discreet against a dark façade or cladding. The transparent diffuser lets you see the bulb between the rings. At 27 cm in diameter, it lights an entrance, a carport or a covered terrace.

Description

A stack of black discs

Beneath the upper dome, a large horizontal plate extends well beyond the edge, followed by two rings of decreasing diameter. This slatted design recalls Scandinavian harbour lamps. The steel is first hot-dip galvanised, then given a black painted finish. The polycarbonate globe protrudes at the bottom, rounded like a drop.

Weather resistance

The IP55 rating protects it against dust and water jets: driving rain, a garden hose. It works with an E27 bulb of up to 60 W, which you will need to buy separately; a warm white LED suits an entrance well. It accepts a dimmer if the chosen bulb is dimmable. Class II, no earth connection required.

Dimensions and placement

The lantern is 25 cm high; with the chain, the total height varies from 43.5 to 102 cm. It weighs 2.1 kg. Under a carport or lean-to, one or two pendant lights aligned along the line of the passage are enough.
