Cleveland outdoor lantern pendant light on bronze chain

An urn-shaped lantern at the end of a chain

A round ceiling rose is fixed to the ceiling; a chain with oval links runs down to the lantern's ring. The body echoes the shape of the Cleveland wall lights: moulded cap, domed bowl held by slender uprights, turned finial beneath the base. The very dark patinated bronze aluminium contrasts with the clear bubble glass, which lets the bulb show through.

An E27 light source under an awning or porch

The lampholder takes an E27 bulb of up to 60 W, to be purchased separately. The IP44 rating protects the lantern from rain and splashes: under an open porch or a roof overhang, it is not afraid of damp. To keep the look of an old lantern, choose an amber filament LED bulb, dimmable if you use a dimmer, which the pendant light accepts.

From 45.2 to 141.2 cm in height

The lantern alone measures 38.4 cm high and weighs 1.38 kg; with the chain, the whole ranges from 45.2 cm in the short position to 141.2 cm fully extended. Under a low porch, shorten the chain; in a high entrance or a covered outdoor staircase, lengthen it. Allow approximately 2.10 m of clear headroom beneath the lantern.
