A screwed square frame and frosted glass
The shape is a square with 12 cm sides. The steel frame is held by four corner screws that clamp the glass onto the body, which the manufacturer completes with PVC and aluminium. The frosted glass conceals the light source: you see an even luminous surface rather than a bright point. This square format follows the joints of tiling or paving.
G9 bulb to be chosen
The G9 lampholder accepts a bulb of up to 15 W; the bulb is not supplied. Choose a G9 LED capsule, which runs cooler than a halogen in an enclosed housing, in 2700 K or 3000 K for a soft light in the evening. The IP54 rating protects it from dust and rain, but not from water jets: avoid pressure washers and sprinklers aimed at it.
Installation
Allow 12.5 cm of depth below the finished level. The body weighs 0.9 kg. It is a Class I appliance, powered at 230 V and earthed. The retailer lists it for floor or wall installation. On a facade, it stays sheltered from run-off; in the ground, reserve it for a well-drained area, on a bed of gravel, where water never stagnates.
