Brushed stainless steel plate and opal diffuser
Unlike the glass blocks offered alongside it, this spotlight, called Ankle by the manufacturer, takes the form of a square stainless steel plate with a brushed finish. Two visible screws fix the plate on either side of a milky white diffuser, which fully conceals the LEDs and gives an even illuminated surface.
Cool white light, IP54 protection
The integrated LED uses 1 W for 30 lm, at 6000 K: a very white light at fixed intensity, best kept for marker lighting. It signals a step, a passage or a boundary without lighting the area. The IP54 rating protects against dust and water splashes, but not immersion: the spotlight can be used indoors and outdoors, but choose a wall or a riser rather than a floor where water may stand.
Compact recessed fitting
The body is 5.1 cm high, to be allowed for as recess depth behind a 7.1 × 7.1 cm plate, and the whole weighs 0.2 kg. Class I: the spotlight must be connected to earth. The sources do not state whether it can be walked on: for a floor that is walked on, choose a model stated as suitable for that use.
