Square plate, round porthole
The contrast between the square plate and the circular diffuser gives this Ceci its character. The black resin stays flat and smooth, and its softened corners have no sharp edges. The square format makes it easier to cut into outdoor tiling or between two slabs.
10 W uplighting
The light source is a GX53 cap lamp, 10 W maximum, which can be replaced when it reaches the end of its life. It is suitable for lighting a façade from below, a potted olive tree or a row of ornamental grasses. With its IP67 rating, the light can withstand temporary immersion, which allows it to be installed in the ground of a courtyard or a driveway. It can also be recessed into a wall, according to the retailer, who describes it as resistant to impacts and heavy loads.
Depth and weight
Allow for a recess at least 11 cm deep, plus a drainage layer at the bottom. The whole unit weighs 0.7 kg. Being Class II, no earthing is required. For a façade, place the light about thirty centimetres from the wall so that the light rises up the surface instead of grazing it.
